An Explanation of Play TherapySome children experience difficulties in making adjustments. Play therapy provides an opportunity for them to work through these problems in a permissive situation. Adults find relief in talking over their difficulties with an understanding therapist. Usually children cannot express their thoughts and feelings in words, but can find release through various forms of play. Since a child’s fears and anxieties have been built up during his/her past experiences with persons close to the child (i.e. teachers, brothers, and sisters) he/she has very little opportunity to explore and examine these feelings in either the home or school situation. Play therapy can offer the child a unique relationship with an objective and accepting adult who is not in a position to “use” any of his disclosures for or against him/her in any way.
Life Coaching
Life Coaching is a one -on - one relationship with a Life Coach to explore growth and direction for your future. Areas of focus can be defining one's life purpose, mission, and vision as well as developing balance or career and/or ministry goals. Other areas are focused on relationships or life transitions.
Spiritual Direction
Spiritual Direction is a relationship with a Spiritual Director which focuses on one's spiritual life and helping a person grow in his/her relationship with God. It encourages the individual in a variety of ways to pay attention to God's communication with him/her and how to explore ways of responding to God.
